1. After a huge breakfast, exhaustion got his hands on Jonathan and he had to go back to bed for an hour (Lizzie didn’t mind at all – snuggled right back in there with a book).
2. L had been desperate to climb Suilven, but a combination of J not being bothered and both of us completely forgetting lots of our walking gear left us with a compromise of a promised visit back in the summer and a great walk today out to the Kirkaig Falls, followed by a wander further on to Loch Fionn at the foot of Suilven, and back for hot drinks and snacks in the wee coffee/bookshop at Inverkirkaig.
3. Lizzie got a bit fed up waiting around for Jonathan to take all the photos. Especially panoramas. But liked the results!
4. Dinner was at the Summer Isles Bar in Achiltibuie – delish and perfect for our requirements. They even gave J the last serving of sticky toffee pudding specially!
Highlight: seeing 2 stag on the way home. Both dashed off the road but one stopped a few metres away on the other side of a gorse bush. It was amazing but unfortunately wouldn’t stand still for J to take its photo!
Lowlight: roadkilling a rabbit. It was most upsetting.
